The committee and I are very pleased to welcome you to the 1st Asia-Pacific Conference on Dyslexia and Other Learning Disabilities (APCoLD 2013) which will be held in the beautiful city of Kuching, Sarawak also known as 'Land of the Hornbills'.

Awareness and understanding on learning disabilities, including dyslexia, dyspraxia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia. attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, autism, Asperger's syndrome, Down syndrome and others, especially with regards to diagnosis, classroom management and intervention are slowly improving in recent years in many countries in Asia-Pacific. APCoLD 2013 will provide a platform in sharing and dissemination information on best practices which have been proven effective.

We are looking forward to meeting you in Kuching during APCoLD 2013 and to sharing a most pleasant, interesting and fruitful conference.
